Nano brows are one of our most requested services at Ink by Britt — and it’s easy to see why. The results are incredibly natural, long-lasting, and flattering on virtually every skin type. But one of the most common questions we get is: "What will my brows look like during healing?"
Great question! Here’s a complete breakdown of the nano brows journey from fresh to fully healed.
What Are Nano Brows?
Nano brows use a digital machine with an ultra-fine needle to deposit pigment in precise, hair-like strokes that mimic natural brow hairs. The result is a beautifully realistic brow that looks like you were just born with great hair growth — no pencil required.
Unlike microblading, nano brows work well on all skin types, including oily skin, and tend to heal more crisply and last longer.
The Nano Brows Healing Timeline
Days 1–2: Fresh Results
Right after your appointment, your brows will look bold, defined, and slightly darker than your final result. There may be some minor redness around the area. This is completely normal — your skin is healing!
Days 3–5: The Darkening Phase
Your brows may appear even darker and slightly thicker as the skin begins to heal. Don’t panic — this is temporary!
Days 5–10: Peeling & Flaking
The skin will begin to flake and peel, and your brows may look patchy or lighter in spots. Do not pick or scratch — let the skin shed naturally. This is the most important phase for protecting your results.
Days 10–21: The "Ghost" Phase
Your brows may look very light or almost invisible during this phase. This is called the ghost phase, and it’s completely normal! The pigment is settling beneath the surface of the skin.
Weeks 4–6: True Healed Result
By weeks 4–6, your brows have fully healed and your true result is visible. The color is softer and more natural than the fresh result, and the hair strokes look incredibly realistic. This is the moment most clients fall in love with their brows!
The 6-Week Touchup
After your brows are fully healed, we schedule a 6-week touchup to perfect the results. This is where we fill in any areas that healed lighter, refine the shape, and make any final adjustments. Think of your initial appointment and touchup as a two-step process for the best possible outcome.
