Things to Know Prior to PMU

Your skin will ultimately determine your healed results. Every skin type is different, and results cannot be guaranteed. Please review the following important information before your appointment:

Skin Considerations

If your skin is sun damaged, thick or uneven in texture, or excessively dry or oily, we may have a harder time achieving desired results. Lifestyle, medications, smoking, and sun exposure all affect the longevity of your permanent makeup.

What to Avoid Before Your Appointment

  • Avoid alcohol, coffee, and caffeine beforehand — excessive bleeding makes it harder to achieve natural results.
  • Avoid fish oil, ibuprofen, Tylenol, or any blood thinners prior to your appointment.
  • Stop using anti-aging products such as Retin-A, Glycolic Acid, Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, or exfoliants 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

Lip Blush Specific

If you are prone to cold sores and are getting a lip blush tattoo, please consider starting an antiviral — consult with your doctor first. Exfoliate your lips the day of the procedure and keep them hydrated for best results.
